«You have to 'confuse the muscle' by constantly changing your routine»
False
What the evidence says
Muscle does not get 'confused'. It grows with progressive overload: repeating exercises and improving at them week after week. Changing everything constantly makes it impossible to measure progress and add weight/reps. Variety has its place, but consistency rules.
How settled this is
Progressing the load, not novelty, is the driver of adaptation.
