Incline Push-Up (hands elevated)
A push-up regression: raising your hands reduces the load, ideal for starting out or for high reps.
How to do it
- Hands on a bench or bar at chest height
- Body in a straight line, core braced
- Lower your chest to the surface and press
Sets, reps and tempo
Ranges: 12–20 reps · 0–1 RIR
Tempo: Lower for 2–3 s into the stretch and press with intent
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag
- A short range without touching the surface
