Dumbbell Front Raise
Isolates the front delt; use it sparingly because your pressing work already covers it plenty.
How to do it
- Raise the dumbbells in front to shoulder height
- Elbows almost extended and fixed
- Lower under control without swinging
Sets, reps and tempo
Ranges: 10–15 reps · 0–2 RIR
Tempo: 2 s on the way down, squeeze 1 s at the peak and stay in control, no swinging
Common mistakes
- Swinging your trunk to come up
- Raising above eye level with momentum
